PPA urges industry to outline UK postal fears

Magazine publishers have four weeks to respond to proposals by the Royal Mail to overhaul the method of pricing for packages.

The Periodical Publishers’ Association has asked magazine groups to state their objections and comments on a number of issues likely to impact on the industry.

The consultation includes proposals to remove special pricing arrangements for block mailing over 250,000 items and changes to price dependent on size and folding of packages.

The PPA has also asked publishers to put forward ideas for an amnesty to ease the impact of any proposals pushed through by the Royal Mail.
