Public’s view sought on future of Jersey postal service

THE Economic Development Committee are asking individuals and businesses for their views on the future of the Island’s postal service.
They have issued a consultation paper which includes 28 questions on local deliveries and collections, letter and parcel services, and related services including special facilities and postage stamp services.

The consultation will pave the way for the incorporation of Jersey Post in a new States-owned private company – a move approved by politicians in March. This will end the current monopoly and allow other private companies to offer postal services.
