Royal Mail on track for 2019-20

Royal Mail has announced  that the company’s performance for the first three months of the 2019-20 financial year has been “in line with expectations”.

The announcement was made at its 2019 Annual General Meeting held Exeter, South West England, on Thursday.

At the meeting, Chair, Keith Williams, and Group Chief Executive Officer, Rico Back, commented on the performance of the Group in the 2018-19 financial year, as detailed in the full year results announcement issued on 22 May 2019 and the Annual Report and Financial Statements 2018-19.

“Overall, our performance in the first three months of the 2019-20 financial year has been in line with our expectations. The Company reiterates its outlook for the 2019-20 financial year. All other targets and ambitions as set out in our financial results for the full year ended 31 March 2019, and based on the assumptions set out therein, remain unchanged.”

The results for the half year ending 29 September 2019 are expected to be announced on 21 November 2019.
