MBE business corporation launches Mail Boxes Etc. pilot center in Malaysia

Mail Boxes Etc (MBE), the world’s largest franchise of retail postal and business services, has officially launched its first pilot center.

MBE offers efficient mail and packaging services where clients get personal choice of packaging and a choice of four courier companies under one roof.

The companies are Pos Malaysia, FedEx. UPS, City-Link Express and Nationwide Express.

“MBE Malaysia operates as a one-stop business service centre. We have plans to open 12 franchise outlets by the end of 2005,” said MBE Master Licensee and Managing Director Brian Chow.

He also announced that the company was in the process of opening another outlet in Phileo Damansara, Petaling Jaya.

He said clients may pay monthly for a private mailbox as well as have access to call-in phone service of tracking incoming and outgoing mail.

Currently, the company has 258 mail boxes available of which 75 percent of them are occupied.

MBE Malaysia’s pilot center, located at Desa Sri Hartamas, has been testing market conditions and has successfully chalked up a regular clientele base with its world-class services since December 2002.
