Key appointment at Yodel to propel its international growth

UK independent parcel carrier, Yodel, has appointed Jayne James as director of international services.

Her appointment follows the opening of Yodel’s first international office, in Chengdu, China, last year to support inbound services.

Jayne brings a wealth of global logistics expertise to the business, having worked in the international mail, express parcels and supply chain solutions industry for more than 25 years.

She joins Yodel from Deutsche Post DHL Group, where she focussed on cross border e-commerce growth to Europe and America and has also led projects offering e-commerce solutions to Chinese consolidators.

Jayne will report into Yodel’s chief commercial officer, Sam Holden, and will work alongside Duncan Lee, Yodel’s director of international business development.

Sam Holden, chief commercial officer at Yodel, commented: “As e-commerce becomes increasingly global, retailers need logistics partners that can deliver outstanding experiences to customers around the world. Jayne has a proven track record in global logistics and she and Duncan are ideally placed to develop and deliver our global plans and support Yodel’s growth in this area.”

Jayne James commented: “I am delighted to be joining Yodel, to build on the excellent work being developed by the team. It’s an exciting time for the business and I look forward to expanding our offering to support our retail partners’ international ambitions.”
