Poste Italiane 2004 balance expected to be positive

The CEO of Poste Italiane s.p.a, Massimo Sarni speaking in Rimini during a debate at Rimini’s meeting of Comunione and Liberazione movement said that after 2002 and 2003 the balance of the Italian mail service would be positive also in 2004. According to Sarmi “with 15 or 16 million of electronic transactions per day and after the deal with Microsoft the Italian mail service is bettering the level of modernity of its structures and offices. The company would be the first information network of Italy very soon. The Italian mail services spends 800 million euro per year in resources for ameliorating its offices, customer services and call centres. The Italian mail service has 153,000 employees and is training them. There are 3,000,000 days of training per year with the goal to extend them to the 40,000 postmen of the company.
