CitySprint gives customers immediate access to replacement stock

Same day courier company, CitySprint, has expanded its range of services with the launch of a Forward Stock Location (FSL) offer.

The strategic storage locations are ideal for customers requiring immediate access to replacement parts and stock — from computer parts and mobile phones, to medical kits and small parts for engineering — within easy reach of their clients. With demand for storage space in the UK higher than ever, this move will help CitySprint provide an even more convenient and competitive service for customers.

At present, CitySprint has 16 FSLs in operation, situated at service centres around key UK transport corridors and cities, including London, Leeds, Manchester and Glasgow.

With flexibility and convenience at its core, the new service means that clients have the ability to extend their business reach to the whole of the UK and can choose the location and number of FSLs they want to use — tailoring the service to their individual needs. In addition, pick up and drop off locations allow for parts to be hand-picked and made ready for collection by a field-based engineer, who can also process returned or faulty parts.

CitySprint will take care of storage, cataloguing and distribution of stock — enabling their clients to meet demand more efficiently by ensuring orders are received in the shortest possible time. With transparency front and centre of everything they do, and always looking to make things as simple as possible, CitySprint has incorporated the service into their warehouse management system. This means that companies can view their stock, where it’s located, as well as how and when it’s being moved — giving them visibility over the whole process.

Justin Moore, Chief Sales Officer at CitySprint said: “With the UK’s largest same day delivery network, and service centres in key locations, the Forward Stock Location service is a natural progression to our existing offer. We can reach over 88% of mainland UK within 60 minutes and are perfectly placed to deliver a tailor-made and top-tier service, no matter our clients’ location — giving them the infrastructure and capabilities to grow throughout the UK. Recognising the importance of having a combined inventory management and distribution network, our end goal is simple: to provide a streamlined end-to-end process of storage, management and delivery with the best possible service and experience we can offer.”
