New CIO for Yodel

New CIO for Yodel

UK independent parcel carrier, Yodel, has appointed Helen Marshall as its new Chief Information Officer.

Helen has been promoted from her role as Yodel’s IT Director, having previously been Director of IT Services & Operations and Director of Technology Transformation. She has been central to Yodel’s IT development.

Helen and her team built Yodel’s digital offering which includes Inflight, the redirection service which enables customers to amend their delivery preference, and Xperience, which allows clients to offer a seamless retailer branded journey from point of order through to delivery.

Helen has over 30 years’ experience leading IT teams across various blue-chip organisations – including Virgin and TalkTalk – focusing on the implementation of large-scale transformation with technology departments.

Helen will take over from Adam Gerrard, who leaves Yodel after five years.

Mike Hancox, CEO at Yodel, said: “As Yodel continues to invest in tech to deliver the best user experience for its customers, we are delighted to have Helen leading as CIO. Since joining Yodel five years ago Helen has played a pivotal role in transforming our IT operation – building an award-winning team whilst delivering unprecedented levels of service availability, helping colleagues to focus on clients and customers.”

Yodel’s incoming CIO, Helen Marshall commented: “Yodel’s tech systems played a key part in supporting our most successful peak to date – helping our delivery drivers to get parcels to customers across the country in a safe and timely fashion. I am looking forward to exploring new applications to help make deliveries even more seamless than ever, whilst working closely with my talented colleagues to build on our award wins and establish Yodel as the leading innovator of the logistics industry.”
