Azkar H1 net falls to 8.9 mln eur vs 10.0 as rev grows 14.6 pct vs 10 target

Transportes Azkar SA said net profit declined to 8.98 mln eur in the first half to June 30 from 10.02 mln a year earlier, mainly as a result of lower one-time gains.

In a statement, Azkar said that despite the net decline, revenues grew 14.6 pct to 153.08 mln eur, beating the company’s target for 10 pct growth.

Revenue growth was driven by a nearly 10 pct rise in deliveries to 6.31 mln eur from 5.74 mln a year earlier, it said.

EBITDA climbed 15.05 pct to 22.26 mln eur in the first half from a year earlier, while EBITDA margin on sales stood at 14.54 pct.

EBIT grew 24.7 pct to 11.95 mln, the company added.

EPS declined to 0.18 eur from 0.21.

Net debt stood at 64.23 mln eur at June 30, with gearing at 43.2 pct.

Total investments were 20.30 mln eur, of which 13.76 mln was carried out in the second quarter.

The company said it held 1.827 mln of its own shares, or 3.76 pct of capital as treasury stock at end-June.
