TNT Portugal 2004 Turnover Up 8.0 Pct Y/Y

TNT Portugal, the local unit of Dutch express service provider TNT Post Group, generated a total turnover of 34.5 mln euro ($44.7 mln) in 2004, up 8.0 pct year-on-year, it was reported on May 4, 2005.

TNT Post Group generated a total turnover of 12.6 bln euro ($16.311 bln), up 6.5 pct. The operating profit rose 53.1 pct to 1.1 bln euro ($1.424 bln)

TNT Post Group posted a 667 mln euro ($863.4 mln) profit in 2004, up 122.3 pct compared to the previous year.
