New Business Development Manager for Pall-Ex

Pall-Ex Group has strengthened its commercial team by welcoming a new Business Development Manager to its ranks.

Helen Day will primarily be focussing on the Fortec Distribution Network in her new role, and brings with her a wealth of industry knowledge, having begun her journey in the logistics sector in 1993.

Since then, she has worked for a number of leading businesses and has won contracts with several of highly regarded, blue-chip organisations and specialised in offering bespoke logistics services to clients moving freight between the UK and Ireland for a number of years.

Helen will be hoping to replicate this previous success in her new role with Pall-Ex Group, as she is tasked with developing the portfolio of corporate clients for Fortec, based at Watford Gap, as well as for its shareholder membership.

Operating between the Fortec offices at Watford Gap, Northamptonshire and at Pall-Ex Group’s head office in Ellistown, Leicestershire, Helen is looking forward to the challenge of the new role.

She comments; “I have been a part of the industry for a while now and I really enjoy the fast-paced environment and the constant challenges every day brings. Finding solutions for my customers is what makes me love this job!

“In what has been an exciting seven months for the network, I am looking forward to playing my part in increasing the pallet volumes for the business and therefore helping the network grow as its journey continues.”

Helen’s arrival will undoubtedly support business growth for Fortec and the Group as a whole.

Helen’s sales acumen and her track record of not only establishing, but nurturing profitable customer relationships, is one of the qualities that impressed the senior management team at Pall-Ex Group whilst looking for the perfect candidate for the role.

Michelle Naylor, UK Commercial Director at Pall-Ex Group, will be working closely with Helen and describes what she is looking forward to, as Helen begins her time within the Group.

She comments; “Helen has a proven track record within the sector, and we were particularly impressed with her wealth of expertise with freight movements between the UK and Ireland.

“I have no doubts that Helen will be a success here and bring on high profile customers for Fortec a result.

“Her work ethic and attention to detail combined with her knowledge of the sector has meant she has fitted straight in and is already well on her way to establishing herself as a vital member of the team.”

Helen will be responsible for bringing on board higher value, corporate contracts as well as contracts that will be serviced by quality Fortec members, throughout the UK.
