Tunisia: 153 new post offices to open soon

According to Al-Horria newspaper (August 29, 2005), to avoid long lines in the posts offices in Tunisia during the beginning of the new academic year, the Tunisian Post Office announced opening 153 new post offices all over the Tunisian districts on September 1st, 2005. The new offices will operate from 8:00 o’clock in the morning until 18:00 o’clock in the evening in order to satisfy all residents’ needs for postal and financial transactions. In addition, it was decided to connect 120 post offices in different Tunisian areas with Internet in order to enable students to register and to pay fees for their schools from distance, the post office reported.
