Palletways has embarked n a recruitmen drive to attract Spanish and Portuguese hauliers to its future Iberian network, which it claimes will be the first of its kind in the region. This follows a recent roadshow in France, attended by more than 20 companies, to motivate local transport businesses to join Palletways Euronord, a new network launched in March to service Benelux and some parts of Germany and France.
Palletways strategy is to establish a pan-European network in the enxt 3 years. The Iberian operation, scheduled to start before next year, will run in partnership with Valencia-based transport and logistics company Transportes Campillo, whjich runs a fleet of 135 vehicles from 4 depots. Campillo also will help with recruitment and Palletways hopes to sign up to 30 members by the launch date. Members will operate under the same code of ocnduct and IT systems as the UK, Italian and Euronord networks.
