InPost commits to “significantly reducing energy consumption”

InPost has deployed its 13,000th automated parcel machine (APM) in Poland. The milestone was reached in the city of Sopot, where the Company also delivered its first renewable energy solution for APMs, utilizing photovoltaic panels.

This follows InPost’s recent announcements related to its “Green City” program aimed at the largest cities in Poland, focusing on a wide range of innovative and environmental initiatives.

Since the program was announced, the Company has signed agreements with the cities of Łódź, Kraków, Kielce, Zielona Góra, Częstochowa and Wałbrzych.

Rafał Brzoska, Group Chief Executive Officer of InPost said: “At InPost, we are continually re-defining the last mile delivery experience for consumers, providing unrivalled convenience, speed and quality of service. We are pleased to reach another milestone, our 13,000th APM in Poland, as we continue to extend our leading market position in our home market.

Moreover, our APMs play a crucial role is reducing harmful emissions and protecting our planet. Last year, we generated more than 100,000 tons of CO2 savings for the environment, while simultaneously reducing traffic and noise pollution. Today, we are taking the next step as we lead the way in becoming the most sustainable form of e-commerce delivery. With our first renewable energy solution for APMs – an industry first in Poland – we will be able to significantly reduce our energy consumption, simplify our network deployment, while further enhancing our value proposition to all our stakeholders.”
