R.R. Donnelley buys UK mail services firm

Printer R.R. Donnelley & Sons Company acquired print-and-mail services company Critical Mail Continuity Services Ltd.
CMCS, based in Britain, serves financial services, telecommunications, utility, government and other large organizations with disaster recovery, business continuity, digital print and print-and-mail services. Clients use it to ensure that vital communications are not interrupted by catastrophic damage to in-house processing centers and to handle peak-period volumes.

“The addition of this superb facility enhances our business process outsourcing capabilities,” Dean E. Cherry, R.R. Donnelley’s group president, Integrated Print Solutions, said in a statement. “Adding this new resource expands our service offering to UK and European customers.”

The 32,000-square-foot facility is in Droitwich, England. It will operate as part of R.R. Donnelley’s Astron division.
