Amtrak wins majestic home delivery deal.
Majestic Wine Warehouses has launched a nationwide delivery service, called Gift Solutions, using Amtrak’s specialist wine service.
Majestic has only made deliveries in-house to addresses near its shops, which it will continue to do. Distribution will be from Majestic’s centre in Enfield to destinations across the UK.
Amtrak has home delivery packaging for wine which has reduced Majestic’s costs. Meanwhile, Amtrak says it has begun integrating Nightspeed depots into its operations starting with those in the North-west and the Scottish boarders.
“Nightspeed customers will immediately benefit from a three-fold increase local depot coverage allowing new services to be offered, such as 9am and evening deliveries,” a spokesman says.
