Austrian Post builds up new parcels management team

Austrian Post has made two senior appointments at its parcels and logistics division as it gears up to enter the B2B parcels market later this year.

The Austrian postal operator has named Max Moser as joint head of the parcels and logistics unit together with Sonja Stockmayer. The 49-year-old manager will be responsible for the B2B parcels business as well as for the division’s operations, quality management, organisation and human resources. Moser was a director of DPD Austria from 1997 to 2001 before moving to the private mail firm Redmail.

Separately, Martina Hofer has been appointed head of the operations department within the Austrian parcels logistics business with responsibility for all production activities, including transport, technology and infrastructure. She was previously responsible for planning and development within the Austrian Post parcels department.
