TNT Logistics & Italian Pirelli extend logistics contract in Germany
Italian tyre producer Pirelli has extended its logistics contract in Germany with Dutch mail and express deliveries group TNT NV’s Logistics unit the end of 2009, TNT Logistics said on May 10, 2006.
Financial details were not available.
The extension of the contract by additional three years confirms the successful cooperation between both companies, which started more than 15 years ago.
TNT Logistics will be responsible for the logistics management of Pirelli’s storage facility in Breuberg, Germany, and of the distribution centre in the neighbouring Otzberg. TNT Logistics (www.tntlogistics.com) will store the tyres, supplied from abroad, and deliver them within 24 hours upon ordering to Pirelli’s customers throughout Germany.
