Board changes at Business Post

Business Post Group plc (“Business Post” or the “Group”) announces that Steven Glew is to join the Board and assume the role of Group Finance Director with effect from 5 June 2006.

Steven Glew has an excellent record of delivering successful change programmes within quoted companies, most notably at Mothercare plc and Booker plc.

From 2003 to December 2005, he was Group Finance Director of Mothercare plc, the specialist retailer, where he was integrally involved in the turnaround of the business.

He was Group Finance Director of Crown Sports plc, the sports and leisure group, from 2001 to 2002, and of Booker plc, the food retailer, from 1999 until its merger with Iceland plc in July 2000 during which time the company’s financial profile was transformed. He had previously spent 15 years at Tesco Stores PLC in various financial and supply chain management roles.

Mr Glew, 49, is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.

Guy Buswell, Group Chief Executive of Business Post, said:

“Steven has an impeccable track record. With his depth of experience of turnaround situations, he will be able to play a pivotal role in the change programmes we are implementing at Business Post. We greatly look forward to him joining our new team.”

Peter Fitzwilliam will relinquish his role as Group Finance Director and step down from the Board on 2 June 2006. Mr Fitzwilliam has been Group Finance Director since 1999, and during that period has played an important role in the development of Business Post. Following the recent appointment of Guy Buswell as Group Chief Executive, the role of Group Finance Director will require a commitment to a greater presence in Birmingham working closely with Guy and his new senior operational management team.

Peter Kane, Chairman of Business Post, said:

“Peter has made a substantial contribution to the Group over the past seven years including assisting most recently in the current performance improvement strategy. We are grateful for all he has done, and wish him the very best with his future plans.”
