Yodel to bring in “new talent” to the team

Following strong growth in FY22, UK independent parcel carrier, Yodel, has announced two new appointments to support its ongoing relationships with key clients and expanding Yodel’s services.

Jo Hyland joins Yodel as a Strategic Client Director having previously worked in client management roles at Metapack, Whistl and Evri (formerly Hermes). Jo has over 20 years’ experience working alongside major ecommerce and retail businesses, such as Pets at Home and Asda, to foster operations with delivery partners. In her new role at the company, Jo will support the development of key stakeholder relationships between The Very Group and Yodel to help bolster growth across both businesses.

Also, Liam Rogan, has taken on the new role of Out of Home Director having first joined Yodel in 2019 as a Regional Manager. He brings almost 20 years of operational and commercial experience, starting his career with UPS on their Graduate scheme and working his way up to senior positions before spending seven years at DPD. In his new role, Liam will be responsible for defining and delivering Yodel’s Out of Home proposition as the business looks to increase deliveries and returns to stores, or other out of home locations. This will provide a more convenient and sustainable service for customers.

Commenting on the announcement, Yodel CCO, Sam Holden said: “The last few years have seen a dramatic growth in our business as ecommerce boomed. The result for Yodel has been profound, with us achieving our first year of profit in 2021.

“At the core of this success has been our people and Jo and Liam’s appointments reinforce our commitment to bringing in the best talent. With Jo providing support and expertise to The Very Group, we can continue to foster that relationship, and as Liam moves into his new position we can channel the focus on our out of home service offering, driving Yodel to continued success.”
