Fortec profit rises 12.5%

Fortec Pallet Distribution Network says it made a profit of £35,000 for the 2005 financial year, up by 12.5% on 2004.
The rugby-based company celebrates its 10th anniversary this month, moved nearly half a million pallets last year and predicts a further volume increase during 2006 of up to 19%.
A 1.000sq m extension to its central hub has been approved to cope with the projected increase.
The network now has 59 depots and attracted 13 new licensees last year.
Managing Director Rod Abrahams said his key plans for 2006 included introducing new products to help develop the export side of the business and regionalising the network through new business relationship managers between the hub and licensees.
