ANC Logistics wins 3-year contract with Hagemeyer

ANC Logistics (ANCL) has won its biggest contract yet – worth £15 million over three years – covering the provision of in-night, next-day and same-day distribution services for Newey and Eyre, the main trading division of electrical distributor, Hagemeyer UK.

ANC Logistics has also taken on more than 140 staff who were either employed by Hagemeyer or the previous distribution services provider.

ANCL has restructured and streamlined the transport infrastructure, which has also enabled Hagemeyer to complete a wider rationalisation of its distribution model. The through-the-night deliveries mean stock is immediately available for the Newey and Eyre branches.

Hagemeyer UK chief executive John Hogan said: “ANC Logistics stepped in very quickly in helping with the implementation of a new supply chain solution. This has assisted Hagemeyer in making valuable savings and improved our service offering to our customers.”

“This is a high profile contract with a market leader,” remarked ANC Logistics managing director Michael Conroy. “This is a clear indication that a medium-sized logistics player can provide innovative solutions and win major contracts against the global logistic players.”
