BAX Global recognized as Best Pharmaceutical Logistics Service Provider in Singapore by Frost & Sullivan

Singapore, July 26, 2006 – BAX Global Pte Ltd has been recognized as the Best Pharmaceutical Logistics Service Provider in Singapore by Frost & Sullivan, a global growth consulting company.

The award was conferred to BAX Global at the recent 2006 ASEAN 4 Logistics Awards based on a Voice of the Customer research, which was officiated by Mr. Ko Kheng Hwa, Managing Director of the Singapore Economic Development Board.

Frost & Sullivan Director of Transportation, Asia Pacific Kavan Mukhtyar says BAX Global has emerged the winner among the logistics service providers in the Singapore pharmaceutical sector, as it secured the highest ratings for its service performance and capability from its own customers in this sector.

BAX Global has been rated very highly by its customers on performance related to industry expertise, information management infrastructure and ability, range and quality of services, and commitment to customer needs.

“The company has also achieved high ratings from its customers on performance related to ability of customizing its services, security of goods, and transaction management efficiency,” Mr. Mukhtyar says.

Similarly, on performance related to metrics of providing visibility to supply chain process, most of the end-users surveyed are satisfied with BAX Global.

Mr. Mukhtyar says that pharmaceutical is one of key contributing sectors for BAX Global, adding that the company offers innovative solutions and integrated services for manufacturers and marketers in the pharmaceutical sector which includes the biopharmaceutical industry and allied suppliers.

He adds that BAX Global’s solutions are built to address the fundamental logistics requirements of the pharmaceutical industry – managing perishable products, reducing damage and theft rates and maintaining temperature control throughout the supply chain process.

Mr. Mukhtyar also says that BAX Global offers complete logistics solutions to the pharmaceutical industry that include complete transportation management in multiple regions, cross-docking, and dynamic warehousing to optimize the costs and improve logistics performance.

BAX Global has also been rated highly by its customers for optimizing their logistics costs and improving the security standards of goods.

He adds that the company has completed construction of a new USD48 million logistics megahub at the Airport Logistics Park of Singapore (ALPS), which makes it the largest occupant in the park.

The megahub will integrate logistics and airfreight operations and will include special facilities, including a temperature-controlled environment to cater for the handling of pharmaceutical products.

The pioneer approval of our Good Distribution Practices capability and this latest accolade from our customers acknowledges our commitment to providing the best cold chain management facilities, operating procedures and specialised transportation services to meet these demands on a daily basis,” Kok says.
