Yodel CEO: We are continuing to invest heavily in new technology, innovations, and colleagues

Yodel has appointed Simon Chave as its new Chief Information Officer to continue the business’ digital transformation journey.

Simon has been a key member of Yodel’s tech leadership team since joining the business in 2020 and has led a series of digital transformation initiatives to enhance e-commerce, customer service and operational capabilities across the business. He has an extensive career in technology, having spent 30 years leading an IT consultancy practice serving multiple industries prior to joining Yodel. Specialising in retail and logistics, he’s worked with senior client leadership teams to deliver IT solutions across e-commerce, the supply chain, and business financials.

Simon will succeed Helen Marshall, who is retiring after four years as CIO and almost 10 years at Yodel. Helen was recently the recipient of CIO of the Year and IT Leader of the Year at the Women in Tech Excellence awards for her work in STEM leadership.

Mike Hancox, CEO of Yodel, comments: “Simon has been at the heart of our IT team, leading some of our biggest digital transformation projects in recent years. He brings a wealth of experience to the role, both within Yodel and throughout his career, and inherits a strong team with a proven track record in the delivery of excellent IT service levels.

“We are continuing to invest heavily in new technology, innovations, and colleagues as demand for parcel deliveries continues to grow year on year. We are immensely grateful to Helen for her dedicated service to Yodel and wish her the best in her retirement.”

Simon Chave, incoming Chief Information Officer, said: “I am very excited to lead the Yodel IT team and am fortunate to start my journey with an established team that has bags of talented individuals, who are passionate about the quality of the services they provide. Consistently excellent IT service levels will remain our focus, combined with a healthy dose of innovation to support our valued clients and customers.”
