Successful 2005 business year for GO! General Overnight

GO! General Overnight Service (Deutschland) GmbH, Bonn, is highly satisfied its business results for last year. The medium-sized market leader on the CEP segment for courier and express services boosted its shipping volumes in the year 2005 to above 2 million packages, raising turnover by approx. 20% to 200 million euros. For 2006, too, the company has set itself ambitious targets for increasing its shipping quantities.

Ralf-Hans Dierks, CEO of GO! General Overnight Service (Deutschland) GmbH, Bonn, attributes this positive development to the quality and growth strategies of the courier service, which was founded in 1984. "GO! has grown on the basis of its own strengths, pursues high quality standards and is in an excellent position regionally, nationally and internationally. For the newly-begun business year we have the aim of once more increasing shipping volumes significantly. I am sure that we will achieve this," says Mr Dierks.
The course has already been set, with stronger international expansion driven forward by the creation of further GO stations in Europe, and by the extension of the international cooperation network.

With regard to the expansion of the service spectrum GO! will, among other projects, concentrate on the safe transport of hazardous goods – one part of the multi-facetted product portfolio which shows great potential.

However, in all its plans GO! keeps a close eye on the surrounding political and economic conditions: "We have to identify to all parties concerned – the government, service providers, and also to the customer – solutions which will in the long term secure the high performance levels of CEP services", emphasises Mr Dierks. "The challenges are becoming ever greater. GO! will confront these in the current business year with the continuing optimisation of its customer-oriented performance spectrum."

In concrete terms GO! has set itself the target for 2006 of achieving a double-digit percentage increase in shipping volumes and turnover. "We provide our customers with comprehensive express and logistics services from a single source – and do it with market-leadership in quality, which has made GO! so successful in the past 22 years."

In the year 2005 the medium-sized market leader in courier and express services raised its shipping volumes to over 2 million packages.
