Last year, parcel volume in Austria grew to around 416 million shipments

The new study by BRANCHENRADAR.com Marktanalyse GmbH confirms that Austrian Post continues to hold a strong position in the domestic parcel market.

Last year, the parcel volume in Austria grew to around 416 million shipments, of which 232 million were accounted for by Austrian Post. With a market share of 56 %, the logistics company was able to maintain its position in a challenging environment and thus continues to be the clear market leader in the parcel business.

Peter Umundum, Deputy Director General, Board Member for Parcel & Logistics: “The stable development of our market share in a challenging environment underlines the enormous performance and reliability of Austrian Post. With growing competition, we remain by far the customers’ first choice – our market share of 56 % exceeds the second-largest provider by more than three times. This trust confirms our path and motivates us to further expand our service and quality promise every day.”

PARCELS TO PRIVATE CUSTOMERS: 63 % MARKET SHARE
Despite a challenging market environment, Austrian Post will continue to be the leading e-commerce service provider in the Austrian private customer business in 2025. In the face of increasing competition, it maintains its market share at a strong 63 % and remains the clear market leader in this segment as well.

PARCELS TO BUSINESS CUSTOMERS: 31 % MARKET SHARE
According to BRANCHENRADAR, the parcel segment for business customers stagnated again in Austria, but Austrian Post nevertheless maintained its market share of over 31 % and remains a reliable partner for companies.
