Austrian Post agrees to a 3% pay increase for all employees
Salary negotiations for the employees of Österreichische Post AG have been successfully concluded. After several rounds of negotiations, the company’s management and the postal and telecommunications workers’ union agreed on an increase of 3.00 percent for all employees, including apprentices, from 15 September instead of 1 July 2026, and any ancillary fees and allowances will also be increased by 3.00 percent from 1 October 2026.
This agreement meets both the interests of the trade union after an agreement close to the relevant rolling inflation and of the company with regard to the amount of the total cost of the agreement by implementing it two and a half months later.
Furthermore, the introduction of a new performance-based working model for parcel delivery was agreed in the collective agreement for employees of Österreichische Post AG “KVneu”. The aim is to create between 200 and 300 new jobs in parcel delivery over the next 12 months and to employ new employees on a collective agreement basis under fair conditions in this new performance-based working model.
These increases will apply until 30 June 2027, subject to the approval of the Supervisory Board of Österreichische Post AG and the Union of Postal and Telecommunications Employees.
