Austrian Post to become the “market leader in the Serbian parcel business”
Austrian Post AG has successfully completed the acquisition of 100 percent of the Serbian parcel service provider D Express. Following approval by the relevant Serbian competition authority, all necessary conditions for the completion of the transaction have been met. With D Express and City Express, two of Serbia’s leading parcel service providers will be part of the Austrian Post Group in the future. In the long term, the two companies are to be merged to form a strong parcel service provider.
The closing marks marks the beginning of the step-by-step cooperation between D Express and City Express. The aim is to combine the experience, infrastructure and operational strengths of both companies in a joint company and to further develop the parcel business in Serbia in the long term. Austrian Post is pursuing a long-term strategy and will invest in the Serbian market, the performance of the companies and the further improvement of their services.

D Express has a strong operational foundation with its own logistics center in Belgrade, a nationwide network with 27 delivery bases and more than 300 parcel stations. Together with City Express, the existing competencies and capacities are to be used even better in the future and brought together in one company in the long term. The focus is on stable business development and new opportunities for customers and business partners.
The parties involved have agreed not to disclose the purchase price.
