Online MBT comes to Palletforce

Online MBT, previously Mike Beer Transport, has joined the PalletFORCE palletised distribution network, as part of the Online Group’s commitment to providing its customers with the best possible service.

The Online Group added Mike Beer Transport to its network of transport centres just over a year ago and the recent change in name to Online MBT is designed to reinforce the Group’s identity as a provider of the most comprehensive range of products and services available in the industry. To complete the company’s integration into the Online Group, Online MBT has moved from Pall-Ex to the Group’s preferred pallet network, PalletFORCE.

“The Group is confident that this will offer Online MBT customers all of the advantages that Online Group customers have enjoyed for some considerable time,” comments Alan O’Leary, Chairman of the Online Group.

“The Online Group is a founder member of the PalletFORCE network and is delighted that the services PalletFORCE offers its customers have been proven second to none,” he adds. “All PalletFORCE member depots own a share in the network, an investment that helps to establish and maintain excellent standards of service quality and customer care.”

Online MBT has been recruited as a Shareholder Member Depot for the CT postcode.

Founded as Mike Beer Transport, Online MBT has over 25 years of experience in the haulage industry, and is ideally located within the Port Zone in Dover. The company’s expertise was most recently recognised at the 2005 Motor Transport Awards, when it won the coveted title of Haulier of the Year.

Palletised distribution has been a major growth area in road haulage over the last decade, offering a cost-effective solution to the quick delivery of small palletised consignments.

PalletFORCE is one of the leading palletised distribution networks in the UK and mainland Europe. With over 90 strategically-located depots around the country and a 210,000 sq. ft. central hub in Lichfield Staffordshire, the PalletFORCE network offers significant efficiency savings. Each member depot delivers goods originating from its operational area to the central hub. They then collect goods for delivery to their home area for the return load – a streamlined process which offers a more competitive, cost effective service for both members and customers, whilst substantially reducing environmental impact.
