Appointments – latest CEP managerial changes

A number of senior managerial changes have been announced by leading international express and parcel operators during May.

DHL:
* Jan Engels (47) has been appointed managing director marketing & sales at DHL Express Benelux as of June 1. He has been with DHL in the Netherlands since 1997, mostly recently as head of commercial for the northern unit of DHL Express Benelux.

* Ben Gordon has been named Express Logistics Operations and Implementations Manager for UAE. He is responsible for managing DHL Express Logistics Centers (ELCs) in the Free Zones of Dubai International Airport and Jebel Ali, as well as two Strategic Part Centers (SPCs) in Abu Dhabi and Al Quoz. In addition, he will be responsible for the implementation of new logistics projects on behalf of customers who require tailored warehousing, order processing and distribution solutions.

* Jean-Sébastien Leridon (32) has been named Commercial and Marketing director for DHL Global Mail in France. He was previously marketing director at DHL Express France. Thomas Sonnenschein (37) is the new secretary general of DHL Global Mail in France, responsible for administration and finances.

TNT Express:
* Jürgen Seifert has been named to the management board of TNT Express in Germany, with responsibility for Human Resources & General Services. He was already head of human resources. General Services include Security, Business Excellence, Quality Management, Health & Safety and Procurement & Properties.

* Andrew Watson has been appointed National Operations Manager in Bahrain with responsibility for country operations and the local road and air hubs.

UPS:
* Davide Rosetti has been named commercial director for Southern Europe, with responsibility for sales and commercial development. The UPS Southern Europe region covers Italy, Switzerland, Greece, the Balkan region, Africa and the Middle East. He was previously operations director for UPS Italy.
