Francotyp-Postalia Delivers ReceiveNet Solutions for Advanced Tracking of Mail and Parcel Receivables-Empowers Mailroom Staff with Software- or Barcode-Based Internal Tracking of High-Priority Mail

Francotyp-Postalia (FP), the fastest-growing mailing systems vendor in the United States, today announced FP ReceiveNet, an advanced mail and parcel receivable software application that helps mailroom staff ensure proper internal delivery of important parcels, raising efficiency and reducing costs throughout the enterprise.

A sophisticated Windows application developed by AMS, a leader in warehouse
automation solutions, ReceiveNet enables mailroom staff to identify important
incoming items as soon as they hit the dock, then track the items through to
internal delivery. The solution is available as standalone
software–delivering advanced mail tracking cost-effectively to smaller
companies–or as part of a sophisticated package bundling the software with a
PC, a barcode printer and a keyboard laser scanner.

"FP ReceiveNet helps organizations eliminate the familiar paper-chase of
distributing internal mail, creating a valuable log of important receivables
while increasing time-on-task for workers across the enterprise," said Bill
Pesch, President Francotyp-Postalia, Inc. "By offering an advanced system in
standalone and full-featured options, Francotyp-Postalia extends the value of
internal mail tracking to companies of all sizes."

"ReceiveNet speeds our internal routing and tracking of overnight courier
letters and packages, since we can scan and log barcode data directly from the
packages into the ReceiveNet software," said Michael Bruen, mailroom
supervisor for Corporate Express's North American headquarters in Broomfield,
Colo. "What's more, the database fields can be customized to meet our exact
needs."
FP ReceiveNet eliminates the problems typical to manual systems, such as lost,
delayed or misplaced deliveries, arming mailroom staff with a paper trail that
can help pinpoint the location of an important parcel. The solution
streamlines the process of internal distribution, reducing the cost and risk
of missed deadlines for receivables throughout the enterprise.

Some key product features include:

– Time and date stamp of all incoming letters, parcels, and packages –
Tracking of all incoming items – Generates individual package ID numbers for
incoming items – Identifies important incoming items as they hit the dock –
Prints log sheets to be initialed by recipients for internal
verification – Mail forwarding capabilities generate thermal address label for

external distribution – Multiple carrier formats supported – Pop-up database
functionality allows for easy recall on similar incoming items – Receives package information into a database for eventual recall – Prints reports based on multiple levels of criteria and by date of receipt

Technical Requirements and Availability

The ReceiveNet application runs on a Windows(R) 95/98 or NT(R) 4.0, a Pentium
processor with 24 MB of RAM and 5 MB of available hard disk space, with access
to a local or network printer. The complete system requires a keyboard laser
scanner and a barcode printer, also available as modular components from FP.
