DHL: business slowing in China

The rate of growth in DHL China has decreased by 15 pct the first seven months of the current year. The average growth rate a year earlier was 20 pct. “The company achieved an annual growth rate of 20-23 pct in the past five years,” reported Dan McHugh, DHL’s Managing Director for the Asia-Pacific region, in an article published in the Chinese periodical “Logistics Week.” The decline is said to be due to weakening demand in Europe and the USA for exports from China.
