Commenting on the new appointments, Petar Cvetkovic said: “Some of the names will be familiar to those that know City Link and indeed Target Express as well as to the wider distribution industry. What they all have in common is experience and expertise coupled with the determination, drive and professionalism we require to take this business forward to future success.

“We are emerging from a difficult period and I am confident we are absolutely focused on our objectives of delivering a quality service with sustainable profitability. I believe this is a team with the clear vision and the right formula for success to achieve in a very challenging and competitive market.

“Most importantly City Link will be totally committed to customer service and building a reputation as the most “customer centric” carrier in the industry. Everything we do will be focussed on the customer,” he said.

Petar is well placed to know what will be required as City Link moves forward. Having held previous board positions at Salvesen, DFDS and Norbert Dentressangle – he is an accomplished, credible customer-facing executive with transport, warehousing and parcels skills encompassing the express, automotive, industrial, food and retail sectors.

Peter Cvetkovic added: “I believe we now have a senior management team that is arguably the strongest executive force in the industry, with complementary experience and skills that will take City Link forward to a new chapter and future success for both our customers and employees.”
