DHL Express opens new terminal in Poland

DHL Express invests 4.5 million Euros in a new terminal in NW Poland.

The new 3,600 sqm terminal will be capable of handling up to 10,000 packages per day. It has 18 gates for lorries to unload, and has automated sorting equipment with capacity to handle 2,500 items per hour.

The new facility, with 200 employees, offers international and domestic express delivery services and is located at a strategic point on the route between the ports of Gdansk and Gdynia, and the northern-west commercial centre of Poznan.

“The dynamic development of a market for express services attracts us to continue to invest in the development of a national logistics network,” said Igor Caban, Vice President, Business Operations for DHL Express Poland. “The Solec Kujawski terminal is the first of a series of new objects of this type, which we plan to open within the next two years.”
