The Swiss are satisfied with their postal carriers
The Swiss are satisfied with Swiss Post’s postal carriers and believe they perform their work reliably and professionally.
This is the result of a survey of 15,400 Swiss Post customers who gave delivery quality a score of 91 out of a possible 100 points. The good result demonstrates the high level of acceptance of postal carriers by the population. A comparison with previous years shows that delivery-related restructuring has taken customers’ needs into account.
In July and August 2008 a total of 15,400 customers took part in a telephone survey which was conducted by the market research institute IHA-GfK in Hergiswil on behalf of Swiss Post. The participating customers were asked for their opinion of the delivery service. In general, customers were very satisfied with the delivery service. As in the previous year, the score was an excellent 91 out of a possible 100 points. Since the first survey in 2004, the index value has improved from 85 to 91 points.
The delivery quality index is formed using feedback from the randomly selected group of respondents in four areas: The quality of deliveries to private letterboxes received 90 points, the same as last year. The quality of deliveries to P.O. box addresses scored 89 points, one point less than in the previous year. Just like last year, P.O. box premises were awarded 91 points. Also similar to last year, postal carriers received a very high score of 93 points for professional conduct and appearance.
