The virtual post office extends its catalogue

Correos announces free SMS service alerting senders to item of delivery.

Correos will send a free SMS to the sender to let them know the item has been delivered.

Correos offers a new service through its Virtual Post Office (www.correos.es): through this virtual office, all users can sign up for the Postal Exprés parcel delivery service with no need to visit one of the 2,220 post offices. The public postal operator takes care of preparing these packages and of the entire operation up to their delivery to the addressee.

This online Postal Exprés service is designed for sending urgent parcels or documents to be signed for on receipt. With this new service, individuals and users will save time on the formalities they have had to carry out in the office up to now, as they can go to www.correos.es and generate and print the labels and delivery notes for their parcels free of charge. Then they simply need to take the parcels to the CORREOS office accompanied by the delivery note.

The Postal Exprés service on the CORREOS website also enables you to request a free SMS to be sent to the sender to let them know when the parcel has been delivered, an added value that reinforces service quality. Lastly, users can opt to pay for these deliveries directly by bank card on the Internet, using the Electronic Postage service, or at the CORREOS office when they are handing in the items to be sent.

The online Postal Exprés service completes the catalogue of services already available through the Virtual Post Office, such as Burofax, telegram, giro, notifications, electronic postage, design and purchase of personalised stamps, etc.
