Previously ready-made return labels had to be enclosed with every order. Now this return note can be simply printed out with the computer – and only when it is really needed.

The web-based solution offered by DHL Parcel is easy to integrate onto the homepages of online shops.

For the traders this cuts down the cost-intensive and less environmentally friendly production of many unused labels.

At the same time consumers no longer need to store the labels and can print out their return note on their own individual PC and only when they need to.

According to a recent study by TNS Infratest, Germans spent more than EUR19 billion in 2008 on ordering goods and services online. This is an increase of 15 percent on a year earlier. At the same time the number of online buyers rose to more than 31 million. In order to offer this target group a universal service, DHL Parcel is continually expanding its online service.

Solutions such as DHL online franking and the digital dispatch assistant have already become firm favorites with online shoppers. With the new online return DHL is expanding its range of services still further. DHL also offers a range of suitable drop-off centers for return parcels and packages for the Internet generation, with some 1,000 Paketboxes and more than 1,500 Packstations currently available for registered customers.
