Denmark Post to end multi-storey deliveries

Post Denmark is to cease delivering to individual properties in large muti-storey housing complexes next year and has advised property owners to install communal mail boxes on ground floors ahead of the change.
Concerns have been raised that this is not happening fast enough, despite the law being introduced some four years ago. The ruling states that such buildings erected prior to 1974 must have communal mail box areas located on the ground floor before the end of 2009.
Only those aged over 65 or affected by some form of disability can apply for an exemption and still receive deliveries direct to their door. Post Danmark said it was the responsibility of property owners to ensure the mail boxes are installed.
