UPS improves Mexican network

UPS is determined to strengthen its position in Mexico after opening six new desks during the first quarter of 2009.

UPS is determined to strengthen its position in Mexico after opening six new desks during the first quarter of 2009.

The company now covers more than 300 locations in the country – a 100% increase since the introduction of its expansion plan in 2006.

Griselda Hernandez, CEO of UPS Mexico, said: “UPS is well positioned to connect to client service and business in Mexico and throughout the world.”

“The aim of our expansion plan is to strengthen the presence of UPS in key cities, to offer our extensive portfolio of services and cover 100% of the national postal codes across our domestic and international network, which stretches over 200 countries,” he added.

The new desks are located in Acapulco, Durango, La Paz, Oaxaca, Tampico and Tuxtla Gutierrez. They will provide the following services: National ExpressSM UPS, UPS Worldwide ExpressSM, UPS Worldwide Express, and UPS SaverSM Worldwide ExpeditedSM services.
