S KOREA S HANJIN LAUNCHES JOINT SALES CAMPAIGN WITH US POST

Hanjin Transportation Co and the United States Postal Service have launched a sales campaign for a collaboration that will drastically cut delivery charges
for three months, company sources said.
Hanjin said companies that wish to ship parcels to the US
will receive a discount of 20 per cent from April to late June
over current fares. This they said would mean shipment costs
would be 50 to 60 per cent cheaper than services offered by
other delivery companies.
The logistics and delivery company signed a contract with
the US Postal Service last October to increase cooperation and
offer better service to customers.
“Parcel deliveries will take one to two days more than what
it would take DHL, but our services are much more economical,”
stressed a Hanjin official. He also said that even after the
campaign period, Hanjin’s delivery fares would remain lower
than those of competitors.
