TNT agreement with TAM in Brazil

TNT Logistics has come an agreement with the Brazilian airline TAM, one of the country’s leading airfreight carriers. This cooperation will offer a broad range of logistics services to manufacturers that have production lines in Brazil, with TAM taking care of airfreight and cargo distribution and TNT of warehousing and road haulage. TNT says that this a unique product in the Brazilian market.
“Through this cooperation we can offer the car dealers a larger choice of services in the areas of receiving, warehousing and delivering spare parts,” said Gianfranco Sgro, managing director of TNT Logistics Brazil. Under the agreement, TAM gives priority service and special conditions to TNT, which can now deliver anywhere in Brazil within 12 hours of receipt of the order. The two companies have already been cooperating closely together for two months to ensure that they can deliver a high quality of service, with integration of operational resources and IT solutions.
