DHL Italy's Profits Up 26%

DHL International in Italy saw net profit rise 26 percent in 2000 to 5.44 billion lire, the company said on Tuesday. Revenue was up 12 percent at 754.6 billion lire.” Carlo Gattini, managing director of DHL International in Italy, said a strategy of focusing of infrastructure improvement had resulted in large investments in the Italian network, fleet and information systems last year. DHL Italy has a hub in Bergamo, employs 3,400 staff and operates over 1,100 vehicles, according to Reuters
