Delivering EMS – European contracts

Deutsche Post Express GmbH is the latest to be awarded a contract by the UPU to deliver incoming EMS items to Germany following a solicitation process. The contract comes into effect on 1.1.01. The UPUs EMS contract Negotiation Team has meanwhile also completed the negotation of contracts for customs clearance and delivery of EMS items to 5 other countries. Based on a combination of the best service standard and price criteria, the following companies were selected to deliver EMS items: Austria Post in Austria, Purolator Courier in Canada, Post Denmark in Denmark, Chronopost in France, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines in Netherlands and ASG Sweden in Sweden.
