India Post signs MoU with insurance company

ICICI Prudential Life Insurance has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with India Post in Uttar Pradesh (UP) to sell its services in their branches, reports IndlawNews. The MoU was signed by ICICI Prudential Life Insurance senior vice-president and head of sales Anu Rau and chief postmaster general Kamlesh Chandra.

Rau said:”Though the extensive network of India Post, we will have the opportunity to offer our products spanning life, wealth creation, children education, pension, protections and health.”

Under the partnership, ICICI Prudential will be able to reach out to its customers in over 17,666 post offices, while 664 postal staffs will be trained in raising referrals by the insurance company.

The policy holders of ICICI Prudential can also make their premium payments at any one of the 822 e-payment enabled post offices across the state.
