DHL could close Scottish depot

UK-based DHL Domestic has announced that it could close its Inverness depot in Scotland. The parcel delivery business said talks with the unions had already started.

Up to 27 workers at the depot could face redundancy. A spokesman for the company told the BBC: “We are doing everything we can to minimise redundancies and mitigate the impact on those affected.”

DHL Domestic was acquired by Home Delivery Network earlier this year.
