United Parcel Service Files To Sell $500 Million Of Notes

UPS filed to sell up to $500 million of notes from time to time, according to a prospectus statement filed late Monday with the Securities and Exchange Commission.

Details of the notes will be provided in a pricing supplement.

The package delivery company intends to use the net proceeds for general purposes including working capital, investments in or extensions of credit to subsidiaries, acquisitions, investments in joint ventures and reduction of debt. United Parcel Service expects to receive net proceeds of about $475 million to $ 497 million upon the sale of all the notes.
