Postcomm appoints four new commissioners

Four new commissioners have been appointed to the Board of UK regulator Postcomm. Minister for postal affairs Edward Davey today announced that Mike McTighe, Lord Blackwell, Stuart McIntosh and Wanda Goldwag will join the body.

The new commissioners will help support the transfer of regulatory responsibilities from Postcomm to Ofcom, under the proviso of the Postal Services Bill.

These are short-term appointments which will come into immediate effect.

Davey said: “These appointments will bring a good mix of skills and experience to Postcomm.

“They will strengthen the already close working relationship between Postcomm and Ofcom and help to ensure a successful transfer to the new regulatory regime that is provided for in the Postal Services Bill.”
