World Mail & Express Americas 2011: Two weeks to go until Mexico
There are now only two weeks to go until leading postal executives from around the globe head to Mexico for the World Mail & Express Americas Conference. The event will take place in Mexico City on 7-9 February, under the theme: ‘Staying relevant in a more complex world: responding to diverse customer needs’.

Jose Ignacio Garcia Olvera, director general, Correos de Mexico, will be amongst the opening morning’s panel, discussing the challenges in the Mexican market. He will be joined by Carlos Modest Guzman, director general, Instituto Postal Dominicano, who will address how the Dominican Republic is staying relevant, and Juan Ernesto Vargas Uribe, president, 4-72, La Red Postal de Colombia.
Saudi Post CEO Dr Muhammad Benten examines the postal industry as a sales portal, whilst Thomas Kipp, CEO, DHL Global Mail, will tell the conference about the similarities of the challenges facing the industry across differing geographies.
Peter Somers, CEO of the bpost international, will also take to the stage at World Mail & Express Americas, as well as Geovanni Campos, postal distribution director, Correos de Costa Rica.
Other highlights will include presentations from Juan Tamariz, logistics group director, Pronto – ampm group, and Salustio Prieto Marquez, vice president, Business Units & Marketing, Empresa Correos de Chile.
