Itella to distribute invoices for Polkomtel

Finnish operator Itella has signed a deal that will see the company distribute sales invoices for Polkomtel. Itella Information will handle the sales invoices for telecommunications operator Polkomtel including printing and enveloping to customers.

Polkomtel has established itself as one of the biggest mobile phone operators in Poland. It offers services under five brand names: Plus, Simplus, Sami Swoi, iPlus and MixPlus.

Plus covers 99% of Poland and provides services to almost 14m customers.

Itella Information offers services to companies in the field of purchase and sales invoice management and financial and accounting processes.

Itella operates in 15 European countries, handling millions of invoices on behalf of its customers monthly.

One aspect of an efficient and cost-saving process is automation and the possibility of using e-invoicing. Polkomtel is also investigating the possibility of sending e-invoices in the future.

Miikka Savolainen, managing director at Itella Information, said: “Sending invoices is an essential element for any company. Itella is deeply rooted in paper processes, but we have over 20 years of experience from automation and electronic channels. That is why our customers can leave the full process to us and concentrate on other tasks.”
