DHL INDIA EXPECTS 6-8 PCT GROWTH IN DOCUMENTS TRANSFER

DHL India is expecting at least six to eight per cent growth in documents transfer through their air courier services in the current fiscal despite the recent spurt in electronic transfers.

“In fact a number of major IT companies in India are showing a growing preference for DHL services for documents transfer”, S Raghunandhan, General Manager, DHL India, told reporters here today while launching its special campaign to promote the company’s “Jumbo Box”.

The market for express transfer of documents was sure to stay bright, he said adding the company’s business, mainly documents transfer, registered a growth of about 12 per cent to Europe during the last fiscal.

Raghunandhan said overseas documents transfer was expected to continue as a major source of its revenues — as much as 60 per cent in the coming years.

The company, which had a turnover of Rs 3 billion last fiscal year, was expecting the same to touch Rs 3.5 billion in the current fiscal despite the “slowdown,” he said.
